If you could assemble a cast that includes Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Christopher Meloni, and Joe Lo Truglio, you’d have an A-list comedy on your hands these days, and that may be what you get if they make Wet Hot American Summer 2, the long-proposed sequel to 2000′s cult comedy. Like they’re previous works, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, which poked fun at the horror and action genre, Paul places the focus on science fiction. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost‘s upcoming comedy Paul, which is being directed by the comedy master Greg Mottola (Superbad, Adventureland) has finally started shooting in New Mexico with Bill Hader, Sigourney Weaver, Jason Bateman, Blythe Danner, Jane Lynch and Seth Rogen (who plays the alien voice of Paul and probably won’t be on set much).
Pegg and Frost have decided to take their mini-cameras with them and film some behind the scenes blogs for fans to enjoy. The first of which is an intro and then Joe Lo Truglio talks about the set “going green”
