The penultimate episode of season eight of The Office delivers many laughs, and sets the table for the finale of what has been an up-and-down season for the TV comedy. With a boozy Robert California in the thick of the storyline, along with vintage Jim and Dwight hi-jinks, “Turf War” should bring a smile to even the most dissatisfied fan of The Office.

A recently fired Andy and his newly acquired life crisis takes center stage at a local fundraiser on the latest episode of The Office. Even cute dogs and a dapper Robert California aren’t enough to save the “Fundraiser”, which, to be fair, is funny here and there in between the mediocrity. A far cry from the comedy brilliance the show has delivered in the past.

“The Office” continues to get the comedy boost it needs from the Florida storyline. And this week it’s time to open the brand new Sabre store, with Dwight piloting the action. While the gang in Scranton is stuck with a so-so story, the ensemble in Tallahassee gives “Test the Store” plenty of funny moments to carry the episode.

A smattering of laughs and a Dwight-Angela plot twist highlight a rather uneven episode of “The Office“. Not even the brief return of cute and loveable Pam could jazz things up Thursday night. Nice work from some of the cast aside, “Jury Duty” failed to keep the momentum going from the previous episode.

This week’s episode of “The Office” delivered the laughs and proved once again that this season isn’t as awful as it seemed to be at first. The return of Todd Packer amps up the comedy, and while there was probably room for more jokes, we’re not displeased with the final product. The Farrelly brothers are back with their latest collaboration Hall Pass. The film stars Owen Wilson, who’s once again headlining a male-driven comedy that features its fair share of juvenile antics. Going into this you might think that you’re in for a treat. The combination of Wilson and the Farrellys should yield amazing results, but unfortunately it doesn’t. Next weekend Owen Wilson returns to his hound dog ways in the comedy Hall Pass. The film is directed by the legendary Bobby and Peter Farrelly and over on IGN, they’ve posted a new red band trailer for the film. That means a good chunk of the raunchier jokes are used and you might see some vomit or poo at any point. Be careful….
THE OFFICE SEASON 7: Having fully set-up the Michael/Holly relationship, “The Office” takes a break from the romantic angle this week and treats viewers to a gimmicky but effective episode which scores the laughs and showcases the talents of the various actors who appear on the show. We don’t know how long this series can last without Steve Carell, but we hope that from time to time, more focus is placed on these kinds of episodes.
Even though their relationship was only a typical sitcom romance, Jim and Pam used to hold “The Office” together. Their love for one another created an emotional core that drew in viewers even when the jokes weren’t as strong as we wanted. Now that they are married, they’ve been put in the background, but this week’s episode succeeds by celebrating a couple of other relationships on the show that are worth our attention.
