Next weekend, Oscar nominees Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal will return to the big screen in Love and Other Drugs. It will mark the duo’s first project together since their acclaimed performances as husband and wife in 2005′s Brokeback Mountain. In honor of such an event, they both appear on the latest cover of Entertainment Weekly in the buff. Apparently, nudity is a recurring theme in the film and the actors decided to stick with it for the magazine. Oh, and one cover just wasn’t enough for these two, they have three separate but equally naked versions for you to choose from. Check them out below…

Last week we posted the first trailer for Ed Zwick’s latest dramedy, Love and Other Drugs and today another one has been released. This version goes more in depth with the story and gives us a better idea of what’s going on. We know that the “love” part has to do with Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway, and here we finally get a look at the “drug” in the title. It refers to the little blue pill that changed the world forever — Viagra. It’s the other co-star in the movie and this trailer gives it a proper introduction. Take a look…

If you’re still recuperating from the epically bad summer “blockbuster” that was Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, we’ve got something that might heal your wounds. It’s another Jake Gyllenhaal movie but it’s not filled with cartoonish CGI, or over-tanned white actors. Instead it features him alongside his Brokeback Mountain co-star Anne Hathaway. The movie is called Love and Other Drugs, and it centers on just that, with a little bit of Viagra sprinkled in. Take a look at the first promo video…

Jake Gyllenhaal is a great actor but his talent is completely wasted on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. If I could describe the film in one word it would be “boring.” This is supposed to be a blockbuster summer action flick and even though it’s being released at the right time, has the right producer (Jerry Bruckheimer), and the right studio backing it (Disney), it gets it all wrong!

There’s no doubt that Jake Gyllenhall is an extremely talented and loved actor, we’ve enjoyed watching him talk to an imaginary bunny in a theater and search for love in places he’s not supposed to, but we’re about to see him do something completely unexpected — lead a huge summer Jerry Bruckheimer film. The good news is, he’s not the only “real” actor in Prince of Persia, he’s surrounded by an impressive cast including Sir Ben Kinglsey and Gemma Arterton, but is that enough to make this blockbuster a success? We’ll see! Hopefully this won’t steer him away from any little indie gems in the future.
We had a chance to attend a video conference with Jake while he was in London and find out a little bit more about what it was like for him working on a Bruckheimer film with sets larger than life and enough extras to fill a city and how he prepared himself to be the lead in a huge summer blockbuster. You can read some of the highlights of the interview or watch the entire video of the interview below…
