If you like Chan-Wook Park’s Vengeance Trilogy, you’ll love I Saw the Devil. Director Kim Jee-Woon’s latest thriller doesn’t hold back and doesn’t hesitate to go where you really don’t (but secretly do) want it to go. Everyone endures torture (whether physical, emotional, or psychological) and nobody really comes out on top. But unlike Saw or Hostel, I Saw the Devil is a game of torture you can really get behind. It has all the makings of a classic gore-fest. Its inventively sick and twisted violence builds into a crescendo of mayhem comparable to Old Boy.

Back in July we reported that a third installment of Eli Roth’s Hostel series was set to begin production this summer. Unfortunately, Roth won’t be a part of the shoot because his hands are full with other (more important) things, but that hasn’t stopped Sony Stage 6 from making the sequel. According to Bloodydisgusting two actors have landed roles in the film, and I’ve never seen either of them a day in my life. See if you recognize them…

It’s been a long time coming but the third installment of Eli Roth’s Hostel franchise is on its way. According to Bloody Disgusting the follow up to 2007′s Hostel II will begin production this summer and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. The previous films have been categorized as “torture porn” and “overly gratuitous” but those negative reviews won’t keep Sony Stage 6 from shooting another one.

One of the tell tale signs that a movie franchise needs to end is when the original director or producer decides they want no part of it. I’ve never been a huge fan of Eli Roth‘s Hostel horror series, but surprisingly as the director even he’s decided to jump ship. According to ShockTillYouDrop, Roth will not be involved with the upcoming third installment of the series. The director wants to focus more on the development of his original features rather than rehashing those from the past.
