This past week, CBS and “Hawaii Five-O” paid tribute to the original Danny “Danno” Williams aka James MacArthur who recently passed away. It was a nice touch and sweet of them to bring his presence back to the show if only for a moment. Now another famous character who appeared on the original series is returning to the fold — Wo Fat. He was the one villain McGarrett just couldn’t shake, and now he’s back in the form of Mark Dacascos!

Last week NBC was renewing shows left and right, and now it’s CBS’ turn. Unlike the peacock network, CBS actually has some solid hits on their roster, instead of a string of mediocre and under-performing shows. According to Reuters, they’ve just given full season orders to all 5 of their freshman programs including Hawaii Five-O, “Blue Bloods,” “Mike and Molly,” “$#*! My Dad Says,” and “The Defendors.”

If you actually bought Jennifer Love Hewitt playing a psychic detective we’re sorry to inform you that her series “The Ghost Whisperer” is no longer with us. But the network did pick up the remake of Hawaii Five-O instead, “Book’em Danno!”

Book’em Danno! Once that order is given, Scott Caan will approach the criminal with handcuffs and take him to be processed. According to THR, Caan has landed a role on the new CBS revamp of “Hawaii Five-O” as Danny “Danno” Williams. He’ll be joining “Lost‘s” Daniel Dae Kim as Detective Chin Ho Kelly, and “Three Rivers‘” Alex O’Loughlin who’ll star as Steve McGarrett.
