Another Cannes “In Contention” title is Paolo Sorrentino‘s This Must Be The Place. The film follows Sean Penn as an older musician who’s now getting old and is out of sorts. Something of a Lost in Translation vibe. The film also stars Kerry Condon, Judd Hirsch, Frances McDormand, Harry Dean Stanton and Shea Whigham, and features music by David Byrne and Will Oldham. It’s here! After giving you a sneak peek at the first trailer for Warner Bros’ Sucker Punch, the footage has been released online. It’s popped up on Apple Trailers and it has all the ass-kicking, gun-shooting, fighter-plane action that you could ask for. The film is directed by Zack Snyder and has been described as Alice in Wonderland with machine guns. It’s time to see if the movie actually lives up to the tagline. Check out the trailer…

This is a rather interesting first look at Rango. We don’t know too much about the film other than it’s a “story of a chameleon with an identity crisis.” Vague, but lets run with it! The ad is definitely intriguing and probably even more so if you’re in anyway intoxicated. It’s extremely simple and quite effective and makes you NEED to know more.
What we also know about the film is that it’s directed by The Ring and Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3 director Gore Verbinski. The teaser below is reminiscent be of that crazy crab scene in the second Pirates movie, only this time, that insanity seems to be the main premise for the film or at least this clip….
