This week Hop springs into theaters. Directed by Alvin and the Chipmunks‘ Tim Hill, and starring James Marsden and the voice of Russell Brand, this kids film tries to play both to adults and children alike. It’s also a film that tries to create a mythology for Easter – not one based on the resurrection of Christ but one that gives something of a history and plan for the holiday. Check our review below…

Though he was recently in discussions and considered the front runner, according to The Hollywood Reporter it’s now official: Will Sasso has now landed the part of Curly in The Farrelly Brothers Three Stooges film for Twentieth Century Fox. Now it’s rumored that Hank Azaria and James Marsden will fill out the lead roles, according to Deadline Hollywood. As shooting was rumored to start in March, perhaps once the two other roles get cast, it will go into production shortly thereafter.

He’s one of the few main characters that will be live action, while the famous blue creatures will be CGI. “How I Met Your Mother” star Neil Patrick Harris was the first actor to be named as the live action lead in the CGI animated feature, The Smurfs.
