Will Ferrell has talked about being in an all-Spanish Language film, but it was hard to know if he was doing a favor, or what exactly it would be. With the trailer for Casa de mi Padre (in English, “House of My Father”), it’s entirely a Will Ferrell movie. Who’s going to play the legendary Poncho Villa? Johnny Depp was attached to star in the feature The Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman With Six Fingers, but according to Blic Online, he’s dropped out of the film due to scheduling conflicts. With the role vacant, a couple other actors have surfaced as possible replacements: Oscar winner Benicio del Toro and Gael Garcia Bernal.

Gael Garcia Bernal is about to get in the best shape of his life for his next role. The actor has signed on to star in a biopic that’s based on the long career of boxer Roberto Duran. The film is called Hands of Stone and while Bernal will be stepping into the ring as the fighter, Oscar winner Al Pacino is in negotiations to play his trainer Ray Arcel. Can’t you just imagine Pacino being the Mickey to Bernal’s Rocky?

This weekend Writer/Director Carlos Cuarón will be releasing his first full length feature film, Rudo Y Cursi (which means Tough and Corny) starring Diego Luna (Tough) and Gael Garcia Bernal (Corny).
Cuaron received help from some of the biggest names in the business with this film; Carlos’ brother Alfonso Cuarón (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), Alejandro González Iñárritu (Babel), and Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth) all teamed up to produce the film. Just to add to the family closeness on set, the two lead actors Luna and Bernal had not only worked with the Cuarón brothers before on Y Tu Mama Tambien, but have known each other since before either one of the can remember.
As a result you get a film with a lot of heart and a very playful interview. Check out what they all had to say below…
