A couple new photos have surfaced from two established film franchises. The first one is from the set Scream 4 and it features the masked killer, Ghostface. We haven’t seen him in a decade and now he’s back to slicing and dicing as usual. Then there’s a shot of James Franco, Freida Pinto, and Andy Serkis filming the Planet of the Apes prequel, Rise of the Apes. Over the weekend Rogue Pictures released a few production stills from their upcoming Greek epic, Immortals. The film is directed by Indian helmer Tarsem Singh and features “The Tudors” Henry Cavill, Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke, and Slumdog Millionaire’s Freida Pinto. Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto has landed a new gig, and it will involve her interacting with the gods. According to Variety, the actress’ latest film will tackle subject matter that we’re all too familiar with, Greek Mythology. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief just hit theaters, in a month or so we’ll be able to check out Clash of the Titans, and Pinto will be a part of the upcoming, War of the Gods.

Apparently a co-starring role in an Oscar winning film, breathtaking looks, and a bit of talent, is all you need to be the next big thing. And you all thought it was hard to be an actor in Hollywood! Freida Pinto (the pretty one in Slumdog Millionaire) seems to be lining up upcoming films, one of which will be a starring role in Director Julian Schnabel‘s film, Miral. Adapted from a book by Rula Jebreal, the screenplay was written by Schnabel himself.

Fresh off of the ensemble win for Best Picture, Slumdog Millinaire star Frieda Pinto is taking advantage of her new found success. The Indian born model-turned actress has just signed on to co-star in the latest project from famed director, Woody Allen. According to Variety, Pinto has been cast in the “ingenue” role of the yet to be titled film. The red carpet at the Academy Awards is always a fashion mecca in terms of designers collaborating with the stars. But here we want to try and focus on the hype surrounding the films not just the fashion. Here are a few quotes from some of the actresses who are present at tonight’s ceremony.
Freida Pinto from Slumdog Millionaire spoke about how amazing it feels to be at the biggest event in American cinema. “This is the happiest moment ever, because all nine of us are here. It’s wonderful to have everyone back together in one big Slumdog family.” As for her thoughts on the film’s possible win for Best Picture she stated, “We’re not going to be thinking about that right now, because it’s really, really nerve-racking. Fingers crossed for whatever happens.”
