At this weekend’s Comic-Con, the cast of AMC’s The Walking Dead gathered with series creator Robert Kirkman, director and co-creator Frank Darabont, and producer Gale Anne Hurd to present fans with a look at the upcoming season of the new smash series. With an order for more than double the previous season’s episodes, and a rabid and expanding fan base, the team of survivors and the crew steering the ship have quite an undertaking ahead of them. Literally something for all tastes on DVD this week as we’re getting a new thriller (The Next Three Days), rom-com (Morning Glory), indie comedy (Four Lions) and this year’s Best Documentary Feature winner (Inside Job). Hard to argue with that selection it fits all moods. And if you’re a horror fan, you even have this year’s buzziest TV series, The Walking Dead, unleashing its zombie-filled first season on DVD.
Oh. Yeah. There’s also this little movie called Jackass 3 coming to DVD today as well. I’m not sure what exactly to call that fanbase, but I imagine they’ll be enjoying the film at home with about a crate of Mountain Dew.

AMC must have a lot of confidence in their new zombie series, “The Walking Dead.” A few weeks ago we got our first glimpse of the show’s trailer and it received plenty of love from the fanboy community. The series is based on the comic book of the same name and is scheduled to debut this fall, but prior to that it’s already received a green light for season 2!
