Over the past two years, Eminem has experienced an amazing resurgence with his music career. He’s once again the biggest selling artist around and he’s been nominated for multiple Grammys for his latest album. But despite his success in the medium he’s ready to return to acting. He made his breakthrough feature film debut in 2002 with 8 Mile. The drama was loosely based on his life and was a box office and critical success. It’s been nine years since he’s headlined a film, and it looks like he’s ready to get back into the game — the Hollywood game.

With the exception of his cameo appearance in Judd Apatow’s Funny People, Eminem aka Marshall Mathers hasn’t appeared in a feature film since his debut in 2002′s 8 Mile. The movie earned him an Oscar for the song “Lose Yourself” and the respect of millions of people who were surprised to learn that he could actually act. Since then he’s said on more than one occasion that he’d love to do more films but he’s waiting for the right project and we think he’s found it!

Here’s a piece of casting news that’s finally come to fruition. A while back rap artist Eminem stated that he would make an appearance in the upcoming Judd Apatow film, Funny People. Over at MTV they’ve verified this by publishing a production still featuring the musician and the film’s star, Adam Sandler. Funny People opens in theaters nationwide on July 31, so we’ve got until the end of the month to see what the hell Marshall Mathers is doing in the movie.

I can’t believe people are even debating whether or not the “Bruno Vs. Eminem Video” of Sacha Baron Cohen falling onto Eminem’s face was real or not. Do you really think that was an accident? Do you really think MTV would let such a “mistake” happen!
Although it’s ridiculous that I’m even writing this, I felt like I had to say something… Continue Reading

I can just imagine the pitch meeting for Sacha Baron Cohen sitting down with the studios to decide to put his balls in Eminem’s face…
“Sacha we want you to promote your movie Bruno at the MTV Movie Awards, got any ideas?”
“I want to fly into the award and put my junk on someones face.”
“Let’s see, who needs some shameless promoting? How about Eminem?”
“I’ll wear my g-string.”

MTV Movie Awards 2009 are here! It’s that time of year again, when all the beautiful people come out to Los Angeles to see who is going to be made fun of this time around. Although the weirdest part about this show for me is still the nominees. How is The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Slumdog Millionaire, and Twilight still up for an award? We have so many new films to argue about now!
Hosting an awards show takes a lot of guts. You are going to make a lot of people (a.k.a celebrities present at the awards show and sitting ten feet away from you) angry, and the angrier you make them the better you do. And to their credit, MTV does this best (although I can’t stand them).
So who gets the honors of entertaining, entertainments biggest stars this year? The honor goes to none other than former writer for the awards show and new Saturday Night Live cast member Andy Samberg. The I Love You, Man and “Dick in a Box” (watch video now) star promises that the show will deliver.
