Piranha 3D, is what happens when you put Jaws, Joe Dante’s Piranha, and every semi-pornographic spring break film you can find into one movie. There are a lot of grotesque deaths, lots of unnecessary nudity, and plenty of corny dialogue that’s beyond ridiculous. In other words, it’s everything you’d expect.  Check out our review…

Elisabeth Shue is back in action… and crazy as ever! Writer/director Jake Goldberger’s dark-comedic-thriller, Don McKay about a crazy woman who lures a man in to get him to murder someone stars the lovely Shue alongside, with Thomas Haden Church and Melissa Leo. Aside from Shue’s amazing appearance as herself in Hamlet 2 it’s been a while since we’ve seen her on the big screen but hopefully she will return with a bang. She also has another appearance in Piranha 3-D, which will be coming out in August, which looks like it might be horrible but it has a decent cast as some fun bloody photos so you never know!

Exclusive Photos From Alexandre Aja’s Piranha 3-D

ScreenHunter 15 Jun. 16 15.54 Exclusive Photos From Alexandre Ajas Piranha 3 DThe Hills Have Eyes‘ director Alexandre Aja is currently filming his next thriller Piranha 3-D, set to be released in March of 2010. The film deals with prehistoric piranhas that have surfaced in Lake Victoria. The film stars Elisabeth Shue as Sheriff Julie Forester, who will risk everything to save her townsfolk. MarketSaw sent us some exclusive photos of the film’s set, but don’t worry there are no major spoilers, however there is a creepy picture of a half-body laying on an overturned boat.

According to MarketSaw “These were taken with a cell phone, security was pretty tight. There is a great one with a half body laying on an overturned boat. You’ll see the boats covered with blood, and a couple good pics of the hydraulic sound stage.”
