The new film stars Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, with many returning cast members from the Lord of the Rings films, including Ian McKellan, Ian Holm, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis and Cate Blanchett. And this trailer wants to remind you how much you liked the original series.

There’s something to be said that only the Beastie Boys could bring out Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood, Jack Black, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Ted Danson, Stanley Tucci, Susan Sarandon and many more famous people for what appears to be a very funny goof on the history of the Band. McBride, Wood and Rogen play younger versions of the band, with Reilly, Ferrell and Black the older iterations. A couple weeks ago it was confirmed that Elijah Wood had signed on to join Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings prequel The Hobbit. The actor will reprise his role as Frodo and will once again wear those hairy feet and those curly locks. Over at MTV, he discussed his decision to return for the movie and he revealed whether or not he thinks Frodo’s appearance will fit in with the story.

It’s an animated spin-off of their upcoming theatrical release Tron Legacy that will air on one of their many cable networks.
