The Twihards were in full force last night when they camped out to see the first official screenings of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The third installment in Summit Entertainment’s vampire franchise has received slightly better reviews than its predecessors and has been at the center of a major marketing campaign. Eclipse has a new director (David Slade), a new Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard), and a lot more action, all of which have seemed to help its opening. Check out the numbers…

In our one on one video interview with the lovely Melissa Rosenberg she talked to us a great deal about building the sexual tension between the characters, finishing up “Dexter“, writing the characters with the actors in mind, how she’s going to make Breaking Dawn a PG-13 film and much more. It’s clear that the LA Film Festival is feeling the budget cuts. Aside from the lack of food and beverages at the venue, they moved the festivals from the clean streets of Westwood to Downtown LA, a notoriously conspicuous part of the city. For the most part the festival is rather safe, you park in one big structure and stay within the safe walls filled with mainly only filmmakers and the usual film crowd surrounded by security.
