This weekend in theaters, Favreau is back with two grumpy, bad-asses, Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford with his latest genre twist, Cowboys & Aliens. The film is big and bad, with plenty of explosions and known faces, but it never quite delivered on anything I was hoping for. The biggest problem with this film is that it’s very much a Western, with alien bad-guys, that never really evokes the natural comedy that one would imagine should come with a film titled “Cowboys& Aliens”. Ridley Scott’s Alien prequel is still going strong over at Fox even though we haven’t heard anything about it in a while. The latest creative rumblings have “Lost” writer Damon Lindelof as a possible candidate to pen the screenplay for the film. The news comes from Deadline and according to the site Lindelof has already met with the director and they’ve been discussing possible stories for the film.

If you’re behind on any episodes of this season’s “Lost” we suggest you play catch up because the show is about to be over. The series finale airs on Sunday, May 23rd and the sh*t’s about to hit the fan. The series of books by Stephen King entitled, Dark Tower are getting adapted for the big screen just like the majority of the authors other works. In this case the film rights were acquired by Star Trek director JJ Abrams, and his Lost co-creator, Damon Lindelof. Lindelof recently spoke to MTV about how the two writers plan on producing a film based on such a beloved book series. His response was “the project would require at least as much care as Zack Snyder’s adaptation of Watchmen.”
