The Twilight Saga: New Moon photos have been coming out of the woodwork today. First, we got a look at Cameron Bright as Alec Volturi, and now we get to meet the rest of his clan. Official promo images have been released for Dakota Fanning, Michael Sheen, and Jamie Campbell-Bower from the film. I’m sure for any die hard fan these pics will be depressingly, delightful.

It was bound to happen. This past Friday, the new trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon hit theaters in front of the Vanessa Hudgens flick Bandslam. All day fans have been drooling over their computers to see it hit the internet, and it finally has. The trailer focuses on the relationship between Bella and Jacob, with a few cameos by Edward. It’s an interesting format, because the video features Taylor Lautner giving commentary during the whole thing. You can see it for yourself below.

An image from the upcoming Twilight sequel New Moon has been leaked online. It features the much talked about Volturi vampire clan, that will be led by Aro (Michael Sheen). Other characters include Jane (Dakota Fanning), Alec (Cameron Bright ), Caius (Jamie Campbell Bower), and Marcus (Christopher Heyerdahl). If this is a legit photo from Summit Entertainment, it seriously creeps me out! Michael Sheen looks similar to his character in the Underworld franchise, but Jane and Caius scare me the most. Alec just looks like any other Emo kid at your local high school, I’ve seen worse.

Summit Entertainment officially broke the news that Dakota Fanning will play Jane in the Twilight sequel, New Moon. We along with several other sources have been reporting this for a while now, so its good to see the cats finally out of the bag. Fanning recently spoke to MTV about her latest role and the 15 year old actress is more than happy about working with the film’s leading man Robert Pattinson. She described him as “very, very cute.” Spoken like a true teenager. Check out more on her Jane character after the jump.

Is it just me or is Dakota Fanning trying to pull a Jodie Foster? As of late the young actress has been in talks to star in several edgy roles, including the manipulative Jane in the Twilight sequel New Moon. Perhaps she’s trying to get in good with the Cullen’s, because according to Variety Fanning is negotiating a deal to co-star in the biopic The Runaways. The film already has Twilight alum Kristen Stewart cast as the band’s most famous member Joan Jett.

It’s almost scary how grown up Dakota Fanning is. I’ve interviewed a lot of people and she handled this like a pro. She was flirty, fun, open, and yet only talked about what she wanted to talk about. Chris Evans definitely has a lot to work with.

Whatever you do, don’t go into this movie thinking “this better just like Nightmare Before Christmas.” Yes it’s stop frame animation. Yes it’s the same Director, Henry Selick. But no, it’s not Nightmare Before Christmas and it shouldn’t be. Nightmare has been done and Selick is not foolish enough to try and redo what many people agree is a masterpiece. This is a whole new film and as such, it’s amazing.
To begin with, the visuals in Coraline are more than anyone could ever ask for. From the minut stitching’s on Coraline’s sweater that you literally feel like you can touch to the wide shots of the gardens filled with flowers and lights. This film is definitely a feast for the eyes. The way that Selick chose to use 3-D is artistic as opposed to gimmicky. Instead of using it to scare you or jump out at you (although there are a couple of moments where that happens) he uses it to give the film more depth. It feels as if you are actually on the set, able to touch the the characters walking around. It helps to add a whole new dimension (literally).

Dakota Fanning has quite the weekend coming up. Two of her films Coraline and Push will both opening this weekend. Both are fantasy films, but aside from that, they’ve got about nothing in common.
Fanning has been attached to Director Henry Selick‘s film, Coraline for 5 years now. She was the first voice to be brought on to the movie and it’s almost as if her and Coraline grew up together.
Both are feisty young girls always looking for an adventure. Check out the interview below with Fanning talks about working on Coraline, her (likely) role in New Moon, and much more…
