Cyrus is coming into its second week on the big screen and as it expands into more theaters we get more little treats from Fox Searchlight. Aside from the awesome website (notmileycyrus.com) with behind the scenes footage and bloopers from the film, they’ve just released a little musical mash-up with the two starts of the movie, Jonah Hill and John C. Reilly. The clip contains some audio clips from the film and of course the comedic styling from the duo.

Not long ago I sat down with Jonah Hill for a one on one interview to talk to him about taking on the slightly more serious role of Cyrus or as I’ve been calling him “The comedic Norman Bates” in the Duplass brothers latest film Cyrus. Hill’s appearance on screen is often times extremely humorous but it is mainly due to his intense and straight-faced performance. He approached the role as much more of a drama and admits that he never really understood his character, but played him by “feeling sympathy for him.”
Find out more about Hill transforming himself, working with his idols and his upcoming project with Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Brad Pitt below…

Get ready to take a walk down memory lane with the long awaited sequel, Toy Story 3. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen return as Woody and Buzz, in an all new adventure that has them escaping a daycare. If you’re more of a comic book fan than a Pixar buff, check out Josh Brolin in Jonah Hex, the DC Comics adaptation about man with a scarred face and a scarred past.

Do NOT be deceived by this box office hungry trailer: Jonah Hill will perform sans Judd Appatow flare and John C. Riley offers more than half-nude tomfoolery. That being said, Fox Searchlight Pictures presents Cyrus written and directed by the Duplass brothers. Hill, Riley, and the always fabulous Marissa Tomei comprise the quirky trio that will leave you both slightly charmed and slightly confused.

John C. Reilly lights up the screen with another amazing character in the Duplass Brothers, Mark and Jay’s first big Hollywood film Cyrus. The film premiered at Sundance Film Festival (read review) and blew everyone away with it’s free spirit and unique characters. Once again Reilly completely transforms himself, this time into a lovable, self-deprecating man who is completely depressed until he meets a beautiful women who comes with an insane son.
In the film Reilly pushes himself to a new level of improvisation which he fought against at first and comes out on top. Find out about what it’s like to when the Duplass Brothers go Hollywood…

Actor, writer, and director Mark Duplass, a star amongst indie filmmakers for his work in Baghead, Puffy Chair and of course Humpday, a film that took a typical bro-mance to the extreme, sat down with ScreecCrave for a moment to chat with us about his latest film at Sundance. At this year’s festival he and his brother Jay got back behind the camera and returned to their comedic roots with their first rom-com ever, Cyrus, only this time they got a couple of A-list celebs to lend them a hand.

Finally someone makes a romantic comedy for film-watchers. The Duplass Brothers have taken small budgets and made great films a number of times before in the past, but this time with the help of Fox Seachlight and a number of A-listers including Marisa Tomei, John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill and Catherine Keener the Duplass brothers go Hollywood and redefine the “rom-com” and make it fun and interesting again.

Last year, I remember hearing about the film Cyrus and the one thing that stuck out from it was the casting of Jonah Hill. It wasn’t because he’s so funny, or he’s the best actor in the world, it was because he was cast as Marisa Tomei‘s son. Even though the Oscar winning actress could play a young mom to Hill, physically they sound like an odd pairing. Over at Apple, they released the first trailer for Cyrus and we finally get to see the relationship between these two in action…
