We’ve suffered through two straight weeks of DVD purgatory and now our patience is rewarded with a huge week of releases. Like the biggest week ever! And that’s hardly hyperbole, not when the number one box office champ of all time, Avatar hits shelves and has you wondering about investing in a 3D TV.
But that’s not the only thing going on sale. There’s more Oscar bait on display as Jeff Bridges‘ award winning performance arrives on DVD in Crazy Heart and nominee Stanley Tucci comes home in Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones.

The winner of the 2010 Academy Award for Best Actor goes to Jeff Bridges for Crazy Heart. The actor finally won an Oscar after 5 nominations with his first one being in 1971 for The Last Picture Show. During his speech he talked about how his parents loved show business and how they instilled the techniques of acting in him at a young age. He was ecstatic while on stage and thanked the director, his co-stars and T Bone Burnett for making Crazy Heart a great movie making experience.
