The James Cameron film is slowly but surely nearing Titanic‘s record for the largest international ticket sales, and has climbed to number 3 on the all time grossing domestic chart behind The Dark Knight. So what could put a damper on Avatar‘s record breaking domination? How about one of the largest countries in the world pulling the film out of theaters?

A big surprise popped up online today in the form of a trailer for the upcoming biopic, Confucius. The film stars Chow Yun-Fat as the title character, and is directed by Hu Mei. Production and casting on the film first began back in March, yet somehow, only six months later there’s a trailer, locked and loaded for viewers to watch with what looks like a completed or nearly completed film.

The off part about this trailer is the dialogue. We all want to know one this, what Confucius says. And what does he say? Nothing! There’s no dialogue in the video, and although the music and actions tell you everything you need to know, I can’t help but find the trailer a bit ironic…

Hong Kong legend Chow Yun-Fat is taking a step outside of his comfort zone to star in a role that will focus on his acting instead of his acrobatics. According to Screen Daily, Yun-Fat has been confirmed to star in the biopic of Chinese philosopher Confucius. The drama will be co-produced by the Beijing based company Dadi Century Film and China Film Group Corporation. The actor will be joined by Chen Daoming as Lao Zi, another Chinese philosopher and the founder of Taoism.
