One is the lettering that comes as we get quick flashes of cast members Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace and Idris Elba. Ridley Scott’s Prometheus is and isn’t a sequel/prequel to his 1979 film Alien. And though it may not feature Alien creatures as we know them from the previous installments, from the latest images to come from the film it’s going to have the same look and feel that’s for sure. Charlize Theron leads Jason Reitman‘s new film Young Adult as a youth fiction writer who returns to her hometown to run triumphant, only to discover that most people have moved on from high school. The film was written by Diablo Cody, and also features Patrick Wilson and Patton Oswalt. The film is scheduled for release on December 16th, which means that it’s definitely going for some Oscars. This afternoon in Comic Con’s Hall H, screenwriter and Lost co-creator Damon Lindeloff, joined by star Charlize Theron, presented a short behind the scenes look at Ridley Scott’s much rumored Prometheus. The panel also included a special visit live via satellite from Sir Ridley himself, as well as cast member Noomi Rapace, all the way from the movie’s set in Iceland. It’s official: Oscar winner Charlize Theron has joined the cast of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus. The film which originally started out as a prequel to Alien, will be headline by Swedish star Noomi Rapace and she’ll get some supporting help from Theron and the extremely talented Michael Fassbender.
We just reported that Kristen Stewart was in the running to play Snow White in the upcoming adaptation Snow White and the Huntsman. Now, according to Variety, the second part of the duo has been revealed as Viggo Mortensen. The trade claims that he’s currently in talks to play the male lead.
Last week we learned that Armie Hammer and Judi Dench were both confirmed to star in Clint Eastwood’s upcoming biopic J. Edgar. At the time Oscar winner Charlize Theron had been offered the role of Helen Gandy, a Justice Department file clerk who ends up being Hoover’s personal secretary. Unfortunately, according to reports Theron is out, but Ed Westwick from “Gossip Girl” is in (not for the same part of course).
The one, the only, the dame has joined Clint Eastwood’s latest film, Hoover. According to SandwichJohn,(via The Playlist) the director revealed that Judi Dench is the latest star to join the cast of his film that currently features Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role. There’s also been word that Armie Hammer will play his right hand man, and Oscar winner Charlize Theron has been offered a part, which she’s considering taking.
