An international trailer has been released for Oliver Stone’s long awaited sequel, Wall Street Money Never Sleeps. It’s a worthy follow up to the teaser trailer that showed less footage but still built up the anticipation. With this trailer you get to see more of the story and the characters led by Michael Douglas‘ Gordon Gekko.
Vanity Fair has released the cover of their annual Hollywood issue and it features several actresses who are described as the “fresh faces” of the new decade. Too bad the majority of them have been around for years, but main stream media is just now catching on to them. Kristen Stewart and Evan Rachel Wood lead the pack of nine that headline the issue. This year we’ll see the long gestating sequel to the Oliver Stone eighties flick, Wall Street emerge from the ashes. The new film is called Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and it stars Shia Labeouf as a young trader who bites off more than he can chew in the dog eat dog world of the stock market. Over at USA Today, they debuted some high quality photos from the film that feature the young actor trading in his t-shirt and jeans for a few custom suits and some hair gel.

British actress Carey Mulligan is on a roll this year. She’s receiving rave reviews for her performance in the drama An Education, and she’s currently filming the Oliver Stone film, Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps. With so much going on what else could the young actress have on the horizon? How about a role in a film based on a highly acclaimed script?

When I think of this line from the film, I realize that it represents everything in it. Your action, in order to build your character, is to go and see this film. I assure you, you’re in for a real treat with director Lone Scherfig’s adaptation of Lynn Barber’s memoir, An Education. With some of the best performances that I’ve seen all year lead by the new “it” girl Carey Mulligan, when you see this film you’ll realize what all the buzz is about.

Everyone is buzzing about Carey Mulligan — aka “the it girl” who stars in director Lone Scherfig’s upcoming romantic drama An Education alongside Peter Sarsgaard — and for good reason. There is a certain sophistication and ease to her on screen that is reminiscent of many Hollywood greats before her. Her unique beauty and personality only add to her obvious charm. And I have yet to mention her talent, which after you see this film cannot be questioned.
Last week I had the privilege to sit around a round table and talk to Mulligan about her edgy role in the film, becoming “the next big thing,” and the doors that An Education has opened up for her (it’s not everyday Oliver Stone calls up a young actress and tells them that they’re the only one for a part in his new film). Sitting across from her was refreshing, she was humble and charming, and you could see why so many people are enamored with her.

Gordon Gekko’s daughter has been cast in the upcoming Wall Street sequel, Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps. According to Yahoo News, Carey Mulligan will star opposite Shia Labeouf in the film where she will be featured as his love interest. Her face looks vaguely familiar to me, that’s probably because I’ve seen her pop up in the Keira Knightley version of Pride and Prejudice.
