Brace yourselves, folks—you are about to witness the most testosterone-heavy 60 second clip you have ever, or likely will ever, witness. Seriously, this thing is the visual equivalent of eating a pound of raw meat, going to the gym for an hour, and then challenging a stranger to a bloody streetfight. Also, like those things, it’s kind of really dumb (but in a fun way). What am I referring to, you ask? The Expendables 2 trailer.

How do you make a sequel to a modestly received blockbuster like the first G.I. Joe? One: you hired Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Bruce Willis for your action star bonafides. Two: You open your trailer and film by slaughtering the majority of the cast from the previous film. That’s Channing Tatum in the first few moments, and then he seems to leave the film (whether temporarily or permanently it’s hard to say). Check out the trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation… Continue Reading

Oh, for the love of… Sigh. Because Die Harder, Die Hard with a Vengeance, and Live Free or Die Hard weren’t stupid enough titles for unnecessary sequels to a great film (and, let’s face it, Die Hard itself is kind of a goofy title, too), it was announced today by Fox CEO Tom Rothman that Die Hard 5 will be entitled A Good Day to Die Hard. Seriously. A… Good… Day… to… Die… Hard. A group of grown men and women, adults, came up with and approved of that title for a film. Really.

Oh, sweet lord. It looks like The Expendables 2 is set to launch the highest combination of Viagra and steroids on movies screens, well, ever—Deadline reports that Sylvester Stallone-starring sequel to the 2010 surprise hit is finally going to give in to every action fanboy wishlist that was crafted anytime between 1984 and 1989: the film will co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger. And Bruce Willis. And Chuck Norris. And Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Also rumored to appear is—sigh—John Travolta (hey, they can’t all be winners).

Bruce Willis will be returning as John McClane in Die Hard 5, and John Moore is now in final negotiations to helm the fourth sequel, according to Deadline Hollywood. Such usually means it’s a done deal. Fox wants to get going on this as Willis as also on board a sequel to his recent minor hit Red. What the actual title of the film will be is unknown, Deadline says it’s shooting in Russia. The reason for this sequel is that Live Free or Die Hard made over $38o Million worldwide, and a franchise is a franchise.

There’s nothing like a great crime-thriller… but then there are all the rest and Setup appears to be a part of the latter. Now don’t get my wrong, Bruce Willis is one of the easiest men in the world to watch on screen and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has been building up his acting rep, but this trailer just reeks of cliches and bad writing. The fact that it was directed by professional stuntman Mike Gunther will either make it an extremely awesome popcorn flick with action like we’ve never seen (and a story-line basic enough to hold it together) or another action film with absolutely NO story-line and acting that makes you more afraid than the villain.
Check out the trailer and see for yourself…

Bryant plays the title character, who goes up against his fair share of adversaries including Bruce Willis and Danny Trejo. Oh yeah, and Kanye West is in it too! Watch the movie below…
