After years of waiting director Christopher Nolan has finally decided to reveal the title of his third Batman film. According to the LA Times Hero Complex, he’s gone from Batman Begins, to The Dark Knight to…drum roll please, The Dark Knight Rises. How do you feel about that? Not only did he announce the new title but he also cleared the air regarding the main villain. From the looks of it, The Riddler won’t be the bad guy and the film won’t be in 3D (yippee!).

For the past year, everyone has been speculating on whether or not Joseph Gordon-Levitt will join Christopher Nolan’s next Batman sequel. For the most part it’s been chalked up as a rumor, and nothing has been confirmed. While we were busy looking at Levitt, we should have been keeping an eye on his Inception co-star Tom Hardy because according to Deadline, he’s up for a role in the film.

Ever since the release of The Dark Knight the actor has been named as a possible replacement for Heath Ledger’s Joker as well as a candidate to play The Riddler. …As the first openly gay superhero! Woohoo! Nice one DC Comics! It’s about damn time we had some openly gay superheros as opposed to all those closeted ones.
DC Comics writer Greg Rucka told Comic Book Resources she was “a lesbian socialite by night and a crime-fighter by later in the night”. Her appearance coincides with a battle in Gotham City to take over Batman’s cowl after he was seemingly killed off in November.
“We’ve been waiting to unlock her – it’s long overdue,” Rucka said. “Yes, she’s a lesbian. She’s also a redhead. It is an element of her character. It is not her character. If people are going to have problems with it, that’s their issue. That’s certainly not mine,” he added.
