The film that follows four infants from around the world from birth until their first steps, Babies, has technically violated child labor laws. California law requires certain things such as infants need a doctor’s note and legal permits before they can be stars. They’re only allowed on camera for 20 minutes a day. They must be accompanied by both a nurse and studio teacher — both paid for by the producers. The babies also need to be at least 15 days old. California really protects the kids!

There is no doubt that this weeks big winner at the box office is going to be Jon Favreau’s action adventure film, Iron Man 2 starring Robert Downey Jr. The film is the follow up to the successful first installment where a billionaire inventor doubles as a armored superhero. If you would rather take the indie/Sundance film festival route this week, be sure to check out Mother and Child directed by Rodrigo García, starring, Annette Benning, Naomi Watts and Kerry Washington, all of whom are beautiful and talented actresses in their own right.
