Well, Community fans, we’ve got some good news, and we’ve got some bad news.  The good news is that Community, one the sharpest, funniest, and most outlandishly clever sitcoms on television has been renewed by NBC for a fourth season, after several months of uncertainty.  The bad news?  Well, since Community, like Arrested Development before it on Fox, has consistently struggled in the ratings department despite its excellence, NBC has only renewed the series for 13 more episodes (as opposed to the 20 to 25 episodes the show has previously had per season).

Arrested Development fans are like a pack of rabid dogs who won’t go down without a fight. When Fox canceled the show we raced to our local retailers to pick up all three seasons on DVD and when word spread that a movie was in development we were all over it. For the past four years we’ve been hoping, and praying, and wishing that our favorite dysfunctional family would grace us with their presence one more time.
