Post-Twilight: New Moon, Taylor Lautner became viable as a leading man. He was mentioned for everything, he was the default setting for casting “wants.” Well, the John Singleton film Abduction is going to be his make or break outside of the Twilight franchise. Lautner stars as a teen who feels disconnected from his peers when a ladyfriend suggests he may be a kidnap victim. But then a greater conspiracy is revealed. The film comes out September 23. Check out the trailer…

This week Johnny Depp and Gore Verbinski team up again for another wild ride — only this time they’re tackling an animated world with their latest creation Rango. This is one of those films that takes a number of wild risks along the way but succeeds in almost all of them. It’s safe to say that their was no lack of imagination or attention to detail that went into this film, despite its few problems…

“Law & Order: Los Angeles” is giving us a serious headache. The drama continues to expunge half of its cast, while shuffling around the actors that it keeps. Dick Wolf is creatively revamping the show, which caused the exit of Skeet Ulrich, Megan Boone, and Regina Hall. Ulrich played one half of the detective team, while Hall and Boone were the assistants to the ADAs. According to EW, one of the saving graces of LOLA, Alfred Molina, will be demoted to a new position, and it will be story dictated.

Who the hell is Corey Stoll? That’s the first thing that came to mind after reading the latest casting announcement for NBC’s spin-off “Law & Order: Los Angeles”. This is a rather interesting first look at Rango. We don’t know too much about the film other than it’s a “story of a chameleon with an identity crisis.” Vague, but lets run with it! The ad is definitely intriguing and probably even more so if you’re in anyway intoxicated. It’s extremely simple and quite effective and makes you NEED to know more.
What we also know about the film is that it’s directed by The Ring and Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3 director Gore Verbinski. The teaser below is reminiscent be of that crazy crab scene in the second Pirates movie, only this time, that insanity seems to be the main premise for the film or at least this clip….

The first theatrical trailer has been released for Jon Turteltaub’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. The film stars Nicolas Cage as the sorcerer in question and Jay Baruchel as his apprentice. In all honesty after watching the footage a couple of times the movie looks mediocre, but it does have some good parts.
