Tom Cruise isn’t the only actor heading to the Old West. It seems Natalie Portman is also hopping onto the Western wagon, as the Academy Award-winning actress is set to star in a modern western titled Jane Got A Gun, to be directed by Lynne Ramsay.
So the latest poster for The Dark Knight Rises didn’t really impress. But Warner Brothers and Christopher Nolan aren’t done hitting you with new posters – we’ve got six additional posters to fill cinema lobbies and fanboys’ bedrooms with images of Christian Bale as Batman, Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Tom Hardy as Bane.
Men In Black 3 has become a blockbuster underdog, mainly because it’s the movie no one was asking for, and has to overcome a lot of bad buzz about re-shoots. It’s been 10 years since we last saw Will Smith‘s Agent J and Tommy Lee Jones‘ Agent K monitor alien activity on Earth, and the new film offers a time travel twist which introduces Josh Brolin as the new K, placing Jones in the back seat. Does MIB3 have what it takes to overcome being a little outdated and a “troubled production?”

When the wildly uneven second season of The Walking Dead came to a close last March, one of the surprise reveals was that of Michonne, a character from the graphic novel who wields a katana blade and two zombie slaves. It was a brief preview into the weirdness that’s in store for season three, and, now that AMC has begun production on the third season, we’ve also got a behind the scenes video with new footage, as well as a casting call for two new characters.
Actor Dante Basco is all set to revisit his classic Neverland memories, this time as producer for a Hook prequel, based on the character he once played, Rufio. 36-year-old Basco will not be reprising his role as the young, mohawked rebel – we don’t know who will be cast yet – but has already set his sights on the spell-check defying Rpin Suwannath to direct.
The Magnificent Seven—it’s one of the greatest remakes of all time. Taking the original premise of Akira Kurosawa’s indelible Seven Samurai (in 1587, village farmers in feudal Japan hire seven samurai to fight the bandits who are stealing their crops) and recasting it into a Western in which seven outlaws protect a Mexican agricultural village, it’s a remake that actually attempts to do something new with a preexisting premise. And of course, The Magnificent Seven is now being given a straight remake that won’t have a new spin, and it will star Tom Cruise for whatever reason. Details below.

Looking like something you’d find for about $6.99 at Wal-Mart or Toys “R” Us, the final one-sheet for The Dark Knight Rises seems more like something directed towards your eight year old brother instead of an important final marketing salvo concerning one of the most anticipated adult action films of the year.
Brad Pitt‘s Killing Them Softly will be making its debut at the Cannes Film Festival tomorrow. We’ve already gotten a taste of the film in a clip involving Ray Liotta‘s character getting an unpleasant visit from Sam Shepard and rapper Slaine.
