So we’re curious to see how The Odd Life of Timothy Green plays, as it tells the story of a couple (Jennifer Garner, Joel Edgerton) who can’t have their own kid, and then wish one into existence. Jay Roach has had something of a dichotomous career as a filmmaker—early on, the director made a name for himself directing such comedies as the Austin Powers franchise, as well as the first two films in the Meet the Parents series, before course-correcting and becoming HBO’s main man when it comes to political films about presidential elections (2008’s Recount, this year’s Game Change). So, it makes a kind of sense that Roach would eventually combine his two styles, as The Campaign features Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis humorously battling it out over a North Carolina Congressional seat.

The trailer for Gangster Squad is an interesting beast—it starts out appearing to be a star-studded (Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn, Nick Nolte, and Emma Stone) and sharp take on 1940s noir; then, around 1:30 mark, it switches gears and becomes a Guy Ritchie-styled monstrosity. While the big summer buzz is mostly attached to The Avengers, Prometheus, The Amazing Spider-Man, and The Dark Knight Rises, Snow White and The Huntsman has been steadily building up steam on the way to its June 1 premiere. We’ve already seen a great full trailer, received news of a pre-approved sequel, and caught a great poster and solid new clip. Now, MTV has released a clip of what looks like the climactic battle between Kristen Stewart’s Snow White and Charlize Theron’s Queen Ravenna—and it looks good.
