J. Edgar: Movie Review

JED 00159 J. Edgar: Movie Review

Clint Eastwood has been working so hard and so much, it’s easy to be bowled over that an 81-year-old has churned out nearly a film a year for over two decades (generally if he takes a year off it’s because he directed two the year previous). It’s the end of the world on the latest installment of “Parks and Recreation.” A local Pawnee group predicts that the end is near, so what better time for our friends in Pawnee to reflect on their own lives. Leslie loses her cool over the thought of Ben with someone else and Tom and Jean-Ralphio decide to throw the party to end all parties. The cast is in fine form and the writing first class, which means the fourth season of “Parks and Recreation” continues its comedy assault — another week and another great episode.

First unicorns, now leprechauns? What’s next, Willy Wonka? “Glee” returned after a three-week hiatus, and introduced us to the new kid at McKinley High, “Glee Project” winner Damian McGinty as Rory Flanagan. ‘Pot O’ Gold’ spent an awful amount of time introducing and re-introducing Rory as the Irish foreign exchange student and Brittany’s personal leprechaun. But despite the ‘magic’ in last night’s episode, ‘Pot O’ Gold’ was nowhere near as good as ‘Asian F.’ Still, the writers are trying to bring “Glee” back to its Season One roots, and hey, that takes time.
