If you were an actor appearing on the most successful scripted television show on air would you ask for a pay raise? The cast of CBS’s long running drama “NCIS” are in that situation and they want the network to bump up their salaries before they sign on for any future seasons. Is Michael Weatherly and the rest of the gang really worth the extra money? Vote in our poll and let us know what you think…

Last Saturday, Oscar nominee and Precious star Gabourey Sidibe hosted the latest episode of “Saturday Night Live” and if we could describe it in one word it would be, “meh.” It wasn’t the worst we’ve ever seen but she didn’t blow us away either. Surprisingly, the best skits came from the Weekend Update segment where it looks like head writer and anchor Seth Meyers finally stepped up his game. But enough about us, vote in our poll and tell us what you thought of last week’s show…

Around this time last year Matthew Vaughn’s adaptation of Kick-Ass was considered the little engine that could. No studio wanted to buy it because they thought the content was too graphic. They weren’t just afraid of violence and gore because that’s been done to death (literally), they were worried about the dialogue given to the youngest member of the cast, Chloe Moretz. In the film she plays the knife throwing, gun toting superhero Hit Girl who drops plenty of F-bombs in between her kicks and punches.
Vaughn pretty much self-financed Kick-Ass and took it to Comic-Con 2009 to give regular people the opportunity to decide whether or not they could handle Hit Girl and her foul mouth. After it was screened not only did the audience laugh and cheer but they gave the director and the cast a standing ovation. Do you think the general population will be as understanding? Do you think it’s OK for a 10 year old to curse like a sailor even if it’s just for a movie?

This weekend Benicio Del Toro will follow in the footsteps of a long line of actors by portraying a werewolf in a movie. The Oscar winner will star in a remake of the 1941 Universal classic, The Wolfman, a role that was originally portrayed by the legendary Lon Chaney Jr. Del Toro looks as if he was born to play the hairy creature, but he’s not the first to tackle the tortured beast. In honor of its recent popularity (thanks a lot New Moon), we want to know who you think makes the best wolfman?

The drama surrounding the Universal remake of The Wolfman refuses to go away. If it’s not the release date, it’s the director, or in this case the musical score. Over the past year, the movie has hit several stumbling blocks including the loss of its composer. Originally, Danny Elfman was on board to tackle The Wolfman‘s music, but left the project back in November. He was then replaced by Paul Haslinger, whose previous works include the Underworld series and Death Race.
Now, we’re hearing that Elfman’s score might be used in the film after all, which adds a lot of confusion considering the nearing release date. The composer is currently busy with other projects most notably Alice in Wonderland, so how will Universal pull this off? According to Cinemusic, “Haslinger is out and additional composers have been brought back in to stitch it all together using ideas from Elfman’s material.” This will be hard to accomplish since the final cut for the film could be drastically different from the one Elfman was inspired by.
Vote in our poll and let us know if they should use Elfman’s music or what’s left of Haslingers…

Conan is out, Jay is in. NBC has reportedly given Leno the Tonight Show from 11:35 – 12:35. So, how big are Jay Leno‘s balls for going through with this and putting the red-head out of a job? Or is that really the case.
It is still unclear exactly what has happened in this whole scuffle but one this is for sure, there are a lot of questions to be asked. And whose fault is it really? Is Leno just taking a spot that is rightfully his? Or has he had his time to shine? Is this a battle between to entertainers or are both of these men simply two victims of a network? And most importantly, will you watch Leno on the Tonight Show?
