This weekend Benicio Del Toro will follow in the footsteps of a long line of actors by portraying a werewolf in a movie. The Oscar winner will star in a remake of the 1941 Universal classic, The Wolfman, a role that was originally portrayed by the legendary Lon Chaney Jr. Del Toro looks as if he was born to play the hairy creature, but he’s not the first to tackle the tortured beast. In honor of its recent popularity (thanks a lot New Moon), we want to know who you think makes the best wolfman?

The drama surrounding the Universal remake of The Wolfman refuses to go away. If it’s not the release date, it’s the director, or in this case the musical score. Over the past year, the movie has hit several stumbling blocks including the loss of its composer. Originally, Danny Elfman was on board to tackle The Wolfman’s music, but left the project back in November. He was then replaced by Paul Haslinger, whose previous works include the Underworld series and Death Race.
Now, we’re hearing that Elfman’s score might be used in the film after all, which adds a lot of confusion considering the nearing release date. The composer is currently busy with other projects most notably Alice in Wonderland, so how will Universal pull this off? According to Cinemusic, “Haslinger is out and additional composers have been brought back in to stitch it all together using ideas from Elfman’s material.” This will be hard to accomplish since the final cut for the film could be drastically different from the one Elfman was inspired by.
Vote in our poll and let us know if they should use Elfman’s music or what’s left of Haslingers…

Conan is out, Jay is in. NBC has reportedly given Leno the Tonight Show from 11:35 – 12:35. So, how big are Jay Leno’s balls for going through with this and putting the red-head out of a job? Or is that really the case.
It is still unclear exactly what has happened in this whole scuffle but one this is for sure, there are a lot of questions to be asked. And whose fault is it really? Is Leno just taking a spot that is rightfully his? Or has he had his time to shine? Is this a battle between to entertainers or are both of these men simply two victims of a network? And most importantly, will you watch Leno on the Tonight Show?

Besides Tobey Maguire, Sam Raimi has been the face of the Spider-Man franchise for the past eight years and yesterday his relationship with it came to an end. Sony Pictures announced that they were no longer interested in pursuing Spider-Man 4 or Raimi’s take on the webslinging character. They have decided to reboot the franchise and start with a younger, more contemporary Peter Parker.
Even though it sounds like Raimi was fired from the movie, he actually left before the official announcement was made. He didn’t feel that he could make the 2011 release date the studio set, due to the creative issues that continued to pop up. In the end he quit, and Sony decided to start from scratch without him. Should he have stuck it out until he got fired? Do you think it’s right for them to can the whole project?
Vote it our poll and let us know how you feel about Raimi’s decision to walk away…

Earlier today, we posted an article discussing the topic of racism in Avatar. Many of our readers had a pretty strong reaction to the argument at hand. Some felt there were some obvious undertones that needed to be addressed, while others thought critics were digging too deep. We’ve decided there’s only one way to settle this, and that’s to put it to a vote! We want to know what you think once and for all, so take our poll and let your opinion be heard.

So now that you’ve had the chance to see James Cameron’s self-proclaimed masterpiece Avatar starring Sam Worthington (who had an American accent for most of the film), Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver, what did you think? As you can tell from my review, I thought it was as epic as it needed to be, but still had a number of problems.
The hype for this film was so intense that it’s hard to imagine anything living up to it. Cameron himself commented on the fact that the buzz might actually be the films greatest downfall. Can anything live up to the expectations fans had for it?

This morning the new trailer for Disney’s Alice in Wonderland was released, and it gave us an eyeful of what we can expect from the movie. When word spread that Tim Burton was making a live action adaptation of the children’s book everyone automatically assumed it was going to be another remake of the old story, but it’s turning out to be the exact opposite.

Personally, I think that Taylor Lautner and his darling abs were completely exploited in New Moon, that being said, his body wasn’t the only thing to develop from the first to second film, so did his acting. I was as surprised as the next non-Twilighter to see that Lautner actually does the best anyone could have done with the role and in a way, wins over the audience.
After Twilight, girls were melting for Robert Pattinson as Edward, but something tells me that after New Moon, there are going to be a lot of fans swapping over to Team Jacob. For many people watching, the choice that Bella has to make between Edward and Jacob seems like an easy one, Jacob is gorgeous, sweet, takes care of her, why the hell would you go chasing after some other douchebag that left you for no good reason?
So, for those of you who lined up and have seen the movie, who won you over in New Moon?
