Ridley Scott’s Prometheus is and isn’t a sequel/prequel to his 1979 film Alien. And though it may not feature Alien creatures as we know them from the previous installments, from the latest images to come from the film it’s going to have the same look and feel that’s for sure. Twitter, now a place for movie news! Arnold Schwarzenegger is currently shooting The Expendables 2 in Bulgaria and is reuniting with his costars Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone for his scenes. How do we know? Schwarzenegger tweeted this picture to confirm it. The film is scheduled to open in August 2012.

Marvel studios has been building to Joss Whedon‘s The Avengers since 2008, when Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson had an end credit scene that laid out the possibility of Tony Stark working with a team. Since then we’ve seen Chris Hemsworth cast as Thor, Scarlett Johansson cast as Black Widow, Chris Evans cast as Captain America, Jeremy Renner cast as Hawkeye, and Edward Norton cast as the Hulk. Six out of seven isn’t bad. All of The Avengers save Jackson grace the latest Entertainment weekly cover, and features the new Hulk Mark Ruffalo. Check out the cover….

Fall is here, and that means that there is only one thing on the minds of teenage girls and certain moms everywhere — Twilight. Summit Entertainment’s big movie is coming this November and that means we’re going to be seeing a lot of Bella, Edward and Jacob in the following months. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 will feature the first half of the franchises’ final film. Summit was nice enough to send us some posters and a new still of the two lovebirds. But that’s not all. The studio has another movie hitting theaters this year, The Three Musketeers. The film has been through a lot of changes since its inception and it’s finally done and ready for the big screen (coming to you in October). We’ve also got a few posters from that and a ‘Making of a Musketeer’ featurette. It’s all things Summit!

D23 was supposed to be Disney’s answer to Comic-con, or at least that’s what some thought when Disney – for the most part – pulled out of the San Diego event earlier this year. And yet 2011′s D23 is surprisingly mellow, geared more toward the superfan than the casual Disney consumer. And in terms of hype, there are no booths set up highlighting upcoming titles like The Muppets or The Avengers. In fact, there’s little presence currently for upcoming movies on the floor. The movie with the biggest layout is Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

With the release date of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 closing in on us, Summit Entertainment has sent over nine images and a new synopsis. Like seen in the photo aboce, the first part of this conclusion will take us through the romantic marriage of Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart).
