The Magnificent Seven—it’s one of the greatest remakes of all time. Taking the original premise of Akira Kurosawa’s indelible Seven Samurai (in 1587, village farmers in feudal Japan hire seven samurai to fight the bandits who are stealing their crops) and recasting it into a Western in which seven outlaws protect a Mexican agricultural village, it’s a remake that actually attempts to do something new with a preexisting premise. And of course, The Magnificent Seven is now being given a straight remake that won’t have a new spin, and it will star Tom Cruise for whatever reason. Details below.

Welcome to the exact moment when The Dark Knight Rises ceased to be cool (even if it’s only for just a moment)—the release of a badly photoshopped final poster for the film. Looking like something you’d find for about $6.99 at Wal-Mart or Toys “R” Us, the final one-sheet for The Dark Knight Rises seems more like something directed towards your eight year old brother instead of an important final marketing salvo concerning one of the most anticipated adult action films of the year.

Though it premiered at the Cannes festival to modestly positive reviews, we’re still hungry to see Tom Hillcoat’s Lawless – which stars Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf, Jessica Chastain and Guy Pearce - something fierce. The film doesn’t come out theatrically until August, so we’ll have to make due with this new clip from Hulu.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues (or Anchorman 2, for those of you with short attention spans) dropped a new teaser onto the internet this morning (as if new teases for Skyfall and The Master weren’t enough for one day). A bit of a rush job, there’s no new footage in the Anchorman: The Legend Continues teaser, but it does round up Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner, and feature series of new one liners: “This time, I’m on top,” “it’s gonna get stanky,” and “in this movie, we play witches!” Check out the ridiculous clip below.

Some context: The Master, Paul Thomas Anderson’s long awaiting follow-up to 2007’s There Will Be Blood, has been passed from studio to studio since 2009, for varying reasons that range from budgetary issues to the fact that the film is supposedly a thinly-veiled and scathing critique of Scientology. Regardless of the reasoning, PTA finally got The Master made with a distribution deal from The Weinstein Company, and is offering up a peek at the very mysterious new film via a hypnotic teaser trailer.

For about two seconds there, The Wolverine seemed interesting—the sequel chronicling the bushy-haired hero’s pre-X-Men time in the Far East was set to be directed by Black Swan auteur Darren Aronofsky and filmed in Japan. Then Aronofsky quit (perhaps because he realized he was set to direct a sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine), and an earthquake rocked Japan. Now, however, Hugh Jackman let it slip on Twitter that The Wolverine is back on, and begins shooting in late summer.

Bond fans, it’s been four years since Quantum of Solace shrugged its way into theaters with a mish-mashed plot and nigh-incomprehensible editing; now, it seems that 007 (with a little help from American Beauty and Revolutionary Road director Sam Mendes) is set to get back on track with Skyfall. Last week, we shared the clever new poster for the film; today, you can take a look at the film’s new teaser trailer—gunplay, psychiatric interrogations, and erotic shaving ahoy.
