Now that all the seriousness of the Academy Awards has come and gone it’s time to laugh and have some fun! There were ten nominees this year in the Best Picture category and the folks over at College Humor thought it would be great to read between the lines of their posters. The end result features tag-lines that represent what the film’s were really about and they speak the truth. The hilarious, non-PC truth. Check them out…

There are very few things in this world that are truly amazing, this my friends is just one of those things. We’ve all seen his original video (which you can watch below) of Mr. 70’s Russian Singer dude “singing” his heart out with his creepy “stay away from elemenaty school playgrounds” smile and his “I’ve been bald since I was 17 years old” wig, but now we have yet another version to feast our ears upon. Check them both out…

And you thought that Elijah Wood on Yo Gabba Gabba doing the “Puppet Master” was weird, check this out! It’s a new short film by Yo Gabba Gabba called Exploring the Universe. With awkward pauses, weird looks, musical fruit, and odd noises popping up in all the wrong places, it’s definitely entertainment for everyone! Why is Elijah Wood so interested in fucking with our children’s minds? He told us in an interview for 9 last year…

Who hasn’t tried to re-do the chest-bursting scene in Ridley Soctt’s sci-fi horror film, Alien? It has become so infamous that people have created spoof after spoof, one trying to out “burst” the other. One of the funniest has to be the one in the comedy Spaceballs. The idea of having an alien creature grow inside your body and then all of a sudden rip out of your chest is horrifying to most.
However, to some it is a way to express creativity. Unrealitymag has gathered a gallery of photos showing those people who have taken the later approach and have re-created the infamous scene. People went their own special unique way and came up with some interesting interpretations of the scene.
Check out some of our “Photos of the Day” below…

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Sacha Baron Cohen have agreed to disagree. Just a week ago, it was announced that the Borat and Bruno alter ego Baron Cohen was to present an Oscar and preform a skit during this Sunday’s live TV broadcast. But now, New York Magazine’s Vulture reports that one of the broadcast’s producers was scared Baron Cohen might offend the infamous Avatar director James Cameron with his skit.
With Baron Cohen’s last prank being that his bare buttocks fell straight into Eminem’s face at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, the Oscar producer might have been right on when he decided Baron Cohen’s skit might be too risky for an Oscar event. So what’s all the fuss over? Here’s what Vulture described it as:

In the midst of the all the script problems, sequel rumors, director swaps, and uncertainty of the Spider-Man franchise, it was briefly rumored that Wes Anderson may take over the franchise. I don’t think anyone really bought the rumor, but someone online (bless um) decided to take the gobbledygook and run with it and give us a brief glimpse of what Spider-Man would look like if Anderson directed it.
Whether you’re a fan of Anderson’s or not, it’s quite obvious that he’s not the man for the job, unless they were looking to take it in a completely new, indie direction. Something tells me that Sony is far more interested in the green side of Spider-Man than the emo-hip side. But that doesn’t mean we can’t ponder what would have happened if they did!
Check out the “pussification” of Spider-Man below…

Something about this just makes everything so much clearer! If you’re like me, you often get lost in Lost, which I know is part of the point, but sometimes it’s helpful when an Italian family in Jersey decides to recap everything for us in a succinct 5 minute video — like they do. Many of you have already watched the premiere of Lost and despite all the complaints about the series being too confusing and the premiere being (gasp) three hours long, everyone seems to have enjoyed it. Who knows maybe I’ll tune back in this season – until then, you’re best following Krystal, I personally enjoy the recaps more…

Last week I missed out on Jon Stewart interviewing George Lucas on The Daily Show. Hopefully you didn’t miss it, but just in case we’ve decided to make it our video of the day! Not only does George Lucas come off as a humble, nice guy (who would have thought!?) but he actually appears to have a great since of humor. Maybe Stewart transforming into a 10 year-old boy obsessed with Star Wars on the air was all he needed…

This Friday Michael Cera will be hitting the big screen in his latest film, Youth in Revolt. In a last ditch effort of promotion he decided to tap into that famous MTV audience to bring in the box office dollars. Therefore, he recently attached himself to the network’s biggest show, the love or hate it phenomenon, “Jersey Shore.”
