Former Nickelodeon star Natt Wolff is one to watch. The young actor can next be seen in Gia Coppola‘s high school drama Palo Alto, and also the highly-anticipated adaptation of John Green’s The Fault In Our Stars. Now, Wolff has landed the lead role in Stephen King‘s The Stand, set to be directed by Josh Boone.

This isn’t the first time Wolff and Boone work together by the way. The actor has actually had roles in two of Boone’s films including Stuck In Love and the upcoming The Fault In Our Stars. The former actually had a cameo by King.

Word is that Boone is writing Wolff’s part especially for him. The Stand is still being developed through Warner Bros. and CBS Films. There’s no word yet on when the film will hit theaters.

Published in 1978, The Stand was previously adapted as a television miniseries in 1994. The story chronicles an epic battle between good and evil after the American population is all but wiped out by a deadly virus. Story follows a group of survivors who fight against an Antichrist-like figure named Randall Flagg.

Wolff is a rising star. He can next be seen in Tim Garrick‘s Behaving Badly, co-starring Selena Gomez; and Paper Towns, which is based on another novel by John Green.
