Well the cat Cap is out of the bag, as Captain America: The Winter Soldier has screened and reaction has been very strong. As if to celebrate (or inundate us), there’s now a new clip from the film that shows Cap’s first confrontation with The Winter Soldier.

Though there’s not much meat on the bone in terms of this clip, it does show that the directors Joe and Anthony Russo — who seemingly relaunched their film careers by working on Community can direct action, and not just in the choppy faux-Paul Greengrass style we’ve seen in some other footage. But then again, we’ve seen the movie, and think pretty highly about it. We have no idea how much we can say about it, but it’s safe to say that Phase 2 has been an amazing run, and now that the origin stuff is out of the way, these sequels have been free to tell much more interesting stories. Here’s that clip:

At this point, with the film less than a month away, it’s time to start treading lightly if you want to go into the movie clean. Already there’s been TV spots that may reveal things that the spoiler-averse would rather not know, and considering this isn’t the first clip the studio’s released for the movie, it’s unlikely this will be the last. Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters April 4.
