Transformers: Age of Extinction, the newest film from Michael Bay, looks like a pure slab of the director’s usual pyrotechnic CGI-porn, with a bunch of orange and sweaty people in tight clothes running around amidst a series of cars and trucks that transform into walking, talking, and punching space-robots that now get to fight monstrous dinosaurs. Which is either going to be the coolest thing ever or the worst, or maybe both. But hey, now it has a full trailer.
The trailer offers a far more expansive look at the film’s plot than the quickie trailers released previously—in the film, Mark Wahlberg appears to be a scrap metal dealer who somehow lucks into finding Optimus Prime. Oh, and then some bad guys show up (we know this because they wear black), and Optimus punches a dinosaur real hard:
Transformers: Age of Extinction, was directed by Michael Bay and is set for a June 27, 2014 release date. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, Sophia Myles, T.J. Miller, Li Bingbing, and a whole bunch of CGI things hitting each other and blowing things up.
What do you think of the trailer?
