Disney has just announced a new cloud-based service that allows people to watch classic movies like The Lion King and The Jungle Book, and newer releases such as Frozen and Thor: The Dark World, whenever they pretty much feel like it. And to top off this news that will very likely make any person, child or not, super happy, the service is also offering a free digital copy of one of the best Pixar movies out there – The Incredibles.

The service, called Disney Movies Anywhere, is powered by iTunes and allows people to purchase and watch movies from Disney, Pixar and Marvel. The service has more than 400 titles and offers exclusive content and bonus features in addition to feature films. Customers can stream movies on the computer, Apple TV or directly from the iTunes app, or also download them to view offline.

The release of this new service coincides with the digital release of last year’s Frozen. However, for a limited time, anyone who signs up for the cloud-based service will receive a free digital copy of The Incredibles.

Walt Disney Studios president Alan Bergman gave a statement regarding the new service and mentioned that this was a way to give their consumers and fans what they want:

“Disney Movies Anywhere offers an exceptional consumer experience built around some of the most beloved and popular entertainment brands in the world. This unique technology underscores Disney’s commitment to meeting our consumers where they are with the content they want, and we’re thrilled to debut with iTunes, the No. 1 digital media retailer in the world.”

For those of you wondering what will happen to the redeemable digital download codes that come with Disney DVDs and Blu-rays, well, those codes will now be available through Disney Movies Anywhere. The way we see it is that now we’ll really have no excuse to revisit those old Disney movies that made us so happy as kids.

Are you ready to relive your childhood? How psyched about this or what?
