Well, this is interesting—Paul Bettany, who has voiced the A.I. computer system J.A.R.V.I.S. that was created by Tony Stark/ Iron Man to serve as a kind of digital butler in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, and The Avengers, has now been cast in The Avengers: Age of Ultron… as the superhero robot Vision.
In the comic mythology, Vision was a robot created by the evil Ultron to be used against the Avengers.  However, Vision switches sides and begins aiding the Avengers in their fight against Ultron.  He even starts dating Scarlet Witch (who just happens to also be in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, as played by Elizabeth Olsen).

So, how does this all work, seeing how Bettany has already been playing a preexisting character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in four different films?  Odds are that Stark and company will somehow try to override Vision’s initial evil programming by “downloading” J.A.R.V.I.S. into his body…right?

Or, perhaps as The Dissolve asserts, all robots in the Marvel Cinematic Universe just happen to sound”polite and vaguely British.”

What do you think about The Avengers: Age of Ultron casting news?  Do you see Bettany as a solid Vision?
