a million ways to die in the west

Seth MacFarlane has been bringing a bunch of wonderfully raunchy humor back into the mainstream. Now that’s not to say it ever disappeared; it was just a little dormant after the teen sex comedies had their run in early 2000. Thanks to the success of Ted, we’re getting an additional dose of raunchy MacFarlane comedy on the big screen with his latest, A Million Ways To Die In The West.

When you’re dealing with the more adult humor that MacFarlane is accustomed to dishing out in movies, you can’t exactly air a lot of it in a national trailer. So how will it be fixed? By putting together a green band trailer which obviously has some sprinkles of his raunchy humor in the mix, but it’s a lot more toned down. A couple of the jokes go flat because you can’t see or hear all of them in this version of the trailer, but at least the red band trailer is out to watch right now, in case you haven’t seen it at least five times over.

Seth MacFarlane stars as a cowardly farmer who instantly falls for the hot new cowgirl (Charlize Theron) in town. When her outlaw ex-boyfriend (Liam Neeson) rides into town and causes all sorts of hell, it’s up to Albert to stop him, or at least try to. A Million Ways To Die In The West is due out in theaters on May 30th.
