In addition to a bevy of strained storylines, shoddy character motivation, inorganic plot developments, overdone melodrama, and the seemingly-impossible ability to make a zombie apocalypse story simply not fun, The Walking Dead’s fourth season is now also getting a new mid-season premiere trailer! Isn’t that exciting?
That’s right, a new trailer, full of all the moody shots, ragged-looking characters, and hints at really, really cool plot developments that will inevitably be clumsily-handled when the full episodes finally air.
The trailer finds our gang “still reeling from the loss of their home, family, and friends. With the destruction of the prison, we see the group of survivors broken apart and sent on divergent paths, unsure of everyone else’s fate. What was a challenging life behind fences and walls grows that much more perilous and precious as they are exposed to new dangers, new enemies, and heartbreaking choices. They will have their faith thoroughly tested — a faith that breaks some of them and redeems others.”
Oh, and hey, swords and zombies:
The Walking Dead’s mid-season premiere is set for Sunday, February 9 on AMC.
