As is the custom from big studios and their even bigger summer blockbusters, 20th Century Fox too has released a teaser for the trailer of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The official trailer will debut tomorrow, but in the mean time, here’s a brief clip.

In the sequel to the reboot, Matt Reeves takes over for Rupert Wyatt as director. The movie will begin will follow a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar, who are threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

The teaser is brief, about 10 seconds long. It doesn’t offer much except some scary-looking trees and we hear someone shouting, “I need to speak to Caesar.” Check it out:

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Judy Greer, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Toby Kebbell. The release of the movie was recently moved forward to July 11, 2014, a slot previously occupied by Fast & Furious 7.
