Because all film trailers must now be heralded by viral websites and videos, the Tuesday, December 10th premiere of the trailer for the Godzilla reboot is getting preceded by a new website today, MUTOResearch.net. And with that viral site comes two new teaser videos, though don’t expect to see much in the way of giant fire-breathing radioactive lizards.
Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have set up the viral site, which features the two videos and a new image (but we’ll be super-nice and save you some time—the picture is above, the videos are below), and, as Coming Soon notes, seems set up to release even more material soon.
But hey, you want to see those videos, don’t you?
Godzilla was directed by Gareth Edwards, and stars Aaron-Taylor Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, and Juliette Binoche. The plot “pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.” Oh, and big monsters will hit stuff and make them go boom-boom. So that’s cool.
Come back tomorrow for the full trailer, which will surely actually show, you know, some Godzilla.
What do you think of the videos and website?
