comic-news

This is the time of year where the studios begin to get ready for the big holiday break, which means we’re flooded with all sorts of news up until the week of Christmas. Apparently the constant theme in all of this is comic book news, which is made apparent given the fact that we’ve got updates on The Amazing Spider-Man 2Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Batman Vs. Superman.

Let’s start with the smallest bit of news, which comes from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It appears as if Marvel has scheduled two weeks worth of reshoots on the upcoming superhero film, which isn’t really much of a surprise at all. They’ve been doing this for awhile now with a couple of their more recent projects, so this isn’t anything to really worry about. I’m sure that captain America: The Winter Soldier will be absolutely kick-ass when it comes out in theaters on April 4, 2014.

Now this may come off as rather small news, but we’ve got more on The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Sony Pictures announced that the latest movie will be released in IMAX 3D on May 2, 2014 out here in the States, but that’s not the best part. If you live in New York City, or are planning to visit during New Years, you should keep your eyes to the sky. Why? Because our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will be making an appearance at the annual ball drop. Along with that we’ll be seeing a little bit of footage from the film, so make sure you keep your eyes out for that on December 31st.

Last but certainly not least is the latest Batman Vs. Superman news which makes us wonder whether or not Amy Adams will return to play Lois Lane. For those of you who saw Man of Steel, you would recall that she had a slightly small but noticeable role in the discovery of our favorite Kryptonian. Will we see a lot more of the tough news reporter Lois Lane in the sequel? We’re not entirely sure, especially if the word “love triangle” was thrown into the mix:

“Am I interested? I don’t know. I mean, we’ll see. I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we’re not in a love triangle. That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries.”

Does that mean we’ll be seeing some sort of Superman/Wonder Woman/Lois Lane love triangle in the future? God I hope not, and it sounds like Amy Adams is thinking the same way. Fingers crossed that Lois Lane has something to do in the upcoming film.

Which of these three films are you excited to see the most?
