You can’t say that Sony isn’t trying to really lure in more audience members with their marketing for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 right now. Not only were we greeted this morning with a brand new trailer, but we’ve got a few pictures to show off to you. To make things even more interesting, it appears as if Sony already let out their post credit sequence within the first official trailer. I must say that’s a rather odd place to put a spoiler-filled scene.
Let’s talk about this supposed post-credit sequence that we see in the first official trailer, which is an odd thing to point out in general. Normally studios like Marvel and company try their best to hide the zinger from the public up until the day of release, but Sony isn’t playing by the rules. Instead it’s more or less been confirmed that a shot within OsCorp, shown in the middle of the trailer, is actually the post-credit zinger. In the screencap we see wings and arms, which heavily hints that we’re more than likely going to see the Vulture and Doc Ock in the third film. If the Vulture is going to have these metal wings instead of real ones, I would like to side with part of the Internet in calling him Mecha Vulture.
Then there’s a new set of pictures below, though half of them appear as if they’re part of a whole poster. The faces of Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey seem a little too photoshopped to be a random shot from the upcoming movie. Wonder if they’ll reveal any of the individual character posters anytime soon. If you’re interested in hearing some of the cool new score for the upcoming superhero movie, you can listen to it on the official website.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be out in theaters everywhere on May 2, 2014.
