As we’ve reported previously, The CW network is pulling a Marvel by spinning off a TV show about The Flash from their successful television adaptation of the Green Arrow comics, simply titled Arrow. Initially, The Flash/ Barry Allen was originally only to receive a “backdoor pilot,” in which a character and premise are introduced in a preexisting series. And while actor Grant Gustin will first appear in Arrow as Barry Allen, The Flash is now set to receive its own pilot episode.
But, in meantime, fans might be curious to see how Arrow introduces the character, in which Barry Allen pops up as “a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past.” Well, The CW has released a clip of the character’s introduction, and it’s full of jokes about being late! Get it? It’s ironic because he’s the Flash! Oh, comedy:
Still no word on exactly when we’ll be seeing that Flash TV series, or whether or not its continuity will have anything to do with the long-rumored Flash film adaptation being developed by Warner Bros.
