Beastie Boys joke. Okay, with that out of the way, the first trailer for David Ayer‘s Sabotage looks good as Arnold Schwarzenegger leads a team of DEA agents who make a big bust, but when the ten million dollars they recovered goes missing… the poop, it hits the fan.
And here Schwarzenegger is joined by a pretty interesting cast, or at least one with fascinating hairstyles. There’s Sam Worthington, Joe Manganiello, Mireille Enos, Olivia Williams, and Terrence Howard, many rocking strange facial hair (at least the men are, c’mon). Ayer is hot coming after the solid End of Watch, so this could be something, and will likely be the best role that Arnold’s gotten since he returned to acting after governing California. Check it out:
What’s great about this is that it finally gives Mireille Enos a role in film that isn’t just concerned wife, which she’s played twice this year in Gangster Squad and World War Z and the film sets up a similar vibe to Predator, where it looks like the hunters become the hunted, and the cast is likely to get smaller and smaller as the film goes on. Basically, this looks like the good version of an ’80s throwback. Sabotage is set to open April 11, 2014. And the reason why we have a trailer now is more than likely because they wanted to get this in front of Homefront.
