Marvel and Disney have been keeping our attention on release dates for their upcoming film slate in 2015, but what about the other major studios? 20th Century Fox is showing them that they aren’t the only ones who are going to dominate the middle of that year as they announce the release date changes for The Secret Service, Assassin’s Creed and the intriguing Fantastic Four reboot.
Let’s start first with Assassin’s Creed, which may possibly be the coolest movie to come out in August since it stars Michael Fassbender in what may be a cool action flick. It was pushed out of it’s original release date in June to August 7, 2015. Why the shift? Maybe it has something to do with this one big film called Fantastic Four. They moved the upcoming superhero feature out of its March release and smack dab in the middle of summer, or June 19, 2015 to be exact. 20th Century Fox must have some high hopes for their reboot if they’re willing to put it in direct competition with other summer movies. Since we are seeing a brand new and younger cast for this film, it’ll be interesting to see how audiences take it. Not too many people were fans of the first two Fantastic Four films that Fox unleashed into the world, so maybe this will be a change for the better.
Last but not least is The Secret Service, another comic book that was quickly transformed into a movie. It’s scheduled to be released in theaters on March 6, 2015. Other Fox movies that have set release dates now include the new comedy Susan Cooper (May 22, 2015) and the untitled Vince Vaughn film, due out on October 24, 2014.
Which one of these movies are you going to see in theaters?
