Daredevil

Recently, Netflix announced they would be bringing four Marvel characters to life in TV shows bound for the streaming service, but it was unknown who would be working on them. Now it seems that Cabin in the Woods scribe/director Drew Goddard will be the man to tackle the man with no fear.

According to The Wrap, Goddard is in talks to run the Daredevil TV show.  Goddard is no stranger to television, as he’s also known for writing episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Alias (not to mention Lost). Goddard is also a huge fan of the material, so this seems like a good fit and there’s no denying the man has talent.

This also speaks well of Netflix and Marvel’s plans in general. Where Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seemed like a good idea at first, the show hasn’t found its footings yet, and is struggling to find a voice (and main characters of interest, and…). Hiring someone like Goddard suggests not only that Netflix and Marvel plan to spend a little money on this television series, they want someone who will be on board to map out the entire season. Perhaps it will function like a mini-series, or more like British shows. This is all good news. There’s no word  when will see the first episodes, but perhaps it will emerge for 2015, as with so many other huge geek properties.

Can you think of someone you’d rather have running a Daredevil TV show?
