While we wait for the full trailer to drop on Tuesday (and while puzzling over another annoying “teaser for the trailer”) and try to figure out how exactly the X-Men: Days of Future Past film will manage to bridge the continuities of the X-Men trilogy with the X-Men: First Class prequel via a blend of time travel and alternate universe trickery, we now have something else to obsess over—12 new images from the production of the film.
Most of the imagery (culled from new editions of Entertainment Weekly and Empire, via /Film) highlights the insane cast (Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Ellen Page, Ian McKellan, Nicholas Hoult, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, and more) as well as their alternately futuristic or vintage 1970s garb and hair, and the film will cross-cross between time periods as future selves of the characters of the original X-Men trilogy team up with their younger, slightly post-First Class incarnations. Yes, it will be confusing. But hey, pictures!
X-Men: Days of Future Past was directed by Bryan Singer. It, and its amazing 1970s Peter Dinklage hair, is set for a May 23, 2014 release date.
